All stateside marshals working Champ Car events will be required to hold a current SCCA license.

The Sports Car Club of America has the most comprehensive training and accreditation program for volunteer operations staff, Champ Car officials will be helping the SCCA train prospective corner workers and officials, partnering with the SCCA in the founding of the new SCCA University, The purpose of the school is to familiarize prospective officials with the latest techniques and requirements used in running a Champ Car event.
